Road works may affect timing and coordination

The Tonkin Highway Extension works, the Shire's planned rehabilitation and widening of Abernethy Road, drainage, services and the required campus footpath all place demands on the same corridor. This makes levels, staging and construction coordination increasingly important, but does not establish that the Condition R footpath has been approved or delivered.

What the public funding establishes

A funded road-upgrade programme exists

The Shire's July 2026 announcement identifies the Hopkinson–Kargotich section for rehabilitation and widening. The proposed programme is locally significant and may affect corridor coordination.

What it does not establish

The campus footpath remains a separate obligation

Public road funding and construction do not by themselves satisfy Condition R or establish campus readiness.
